Pet Vaccinations Serving Marietta and Beyond
Dog & Cat Vaccinations
In addition to weekday appointments for vaccinations, Marietta Vet Clinic offers Pet Vaccine Clinics every Saturday from 9:00am to 12:00pm, excluding the 3rd Saturday of each month.
Our Saturday Vaccination Clinic caters to single pet owners who do not have any health concerns that need to be addressed. Saturday appointments are fairly fast-paced and are specifically intended for vaccinations only. If you have multiple pets, you will be better served by scheduling an appointment Monday through Friday, as we only charge one exam fee for all of your pet’s vaccinations within that calendar year. Weekday appointments allow for a more thorough exam and consult with the veterinarian. If you have multiple pets and they are due for vaccines at different times of the year, you will only pay one $40 annual wellness exam fee when your first pet comes into the clinic. When the next pet is due you will only pay for the vaccinations.
How do I know which vaccines my pet needs?
Many factors are taken into account and a program is tailored to fit your pet. “Core” vaccinations are recommended for most pets, and “non-core” vaccinations are available for specific needs. Core vaccines protect pets against more serious and potentially fatal diseases. The American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) has developed guidelines listing the following as core vaccinations: adenovirus, parvovirus, rabies and distemper. Let our vet clinic serve as your animal clinic starting today.
Core vaccinations for dogs include Rabies and the Distemper/Parvovirus/Adenovirus/Parainfluenza combo vaccine. If you board, groom or frequent places where your dog comes into contact with other dogs, like a dog park, your dog will need the Bordetella vaccination (aka the “Kennel Cough” vaccine). For boarding purposes, Bordetella will need to be administered AT LEAST 5 DAYS PRIOR to your boarding date. If you take your dog hiking, hunting, or into the woods where they will be exposed to standing water, you will want a Leptospirosis vaccination.
Indoor cat core vaccinations include Rabies and the Herpes/Calicivirus/Panleukopenia combo vaccine. If you allow your cat to go outside, you will also want to protect them against Feline Leukemia.
Dr. Peckich at the Marietta Vet Clinic will discuss and give advice regarding your pet’s individual vaccination needs.
Marietta Vet Clinic offers Saturday pet vaccinations because every pet needs protection from contagious and deadly diseases. Vaccinating your pet protects them by triggering an immune response that fights against future infections and diseases. Since the widespread use of vaccines, disease and death have been prevented in millions of animals.
Marietta Vet Clinic strives to protect every pet’s health by offering affordable pet vaccinations. Vaccinating against disease can aid in providing your dog or cat a healthier life.
** Every visit includes a brief exam and a broad-spectrum deworming tablet.
